wenn
wenn introduces a subordinate clause and sends the conjugated verb to the end.
- Wenn es morgen regnet, bleiben wir zu Hause.
- Ich helfe dir, wenn ich Zeit habe.
Uncertain condition
falls and sofern
falls emphasises that a condition may occur. sofern is more formal.
- Falls du Hilfe brauchst, ruf mich an.
- Sie können teilnehmen, sofern noch Plätze frei sind.
Verb in position one
Conditions without a conjunction
Especially in formal language, the conjunction can be omitted and the conjugated verb moves to the beginning.
- Hast du Zeit, können wir uns treffen.
- Sollten Sie Fragen haben, melden Sie sich bitte.

Unreal conditions
Use Subjunctive II when a condition is unlikely or not fulfilled.
